Department of Mechanical engineering was established in the year 2009 with an intake of 60. Mechanical Engineering is that discipline of engineering which applies the principles of physics and materials science for analysis, design, manufacturing, and maintenance of mechanical systems This engineering field requires an understanding of core concepts including mechanics, kinematics and kinetics, thermodynamics, materials science, and structural analysis. Mechanical engineers use these core principles along with tools like CAD/CAM and product life cycle management to design and analyze manufacturing plants, industrial equipment and machinery, heating and cooling systems, automobiles, aircraft, watercraft, robotics, medical devices and more..

Parts finding:

1. It’s a sort of technical quiz which involves visual aids
2. Components of automobile parts are displayed, participants should recognize the component and should say the application of the part
3. The questions may also involve the material used, physical properties etc.
